Was ANA any good or just hype?
ANA flight to Haneda
Lets get this over with and go to bed.
First the transport tally. 3 buses, 2 planes, 2 trains and a monorail.
The bonus bus was a surprise because when I landed at Tokyo Haneda, the plane parked over at the cargo side of the airport and we had to go down stairs onto a bus, in the rain, just like Mogadishu.
As for flying on ANA, I actually have flown with them domestically in Japan before to Okinawa, but it was my first time using them on an international flight. They get a huge amount of hype. I did not really notice the difference compared to any other flight. Allegedly the seats are further apart, you would probably need a laser measuring device to find that precious 1/8th of an inch. It was however completely full, the food was just ok, but best of all, we arrived early and the customs line was almost zero.
OK none of that is interesting, time to see if when I wake up there is a typhoon or not.
Here is a shot of my 787 Dreamliner still in Sydney. It arrived late but we left on time. This photo is the best I could do due to the weird angles and air bridges in the way.
Monorail photo. Haneda airport is very convenient. You could walk there. I might.
Now for 3 photos of my hotel. I stayed here last year, Sotetsu Fresa Inn Ochanomizu Jimbocho, quite the mouthful.
I even have the same sort of room as last year, the corner double which has a bonus bit for storage I do not need. I am standing in the bonus bit now.
