Lysterfield park and lake
I have been here once before but did not go all the way around and did not take any photos. Today I did. Bit of a weird lake walk, there are almost no views of the lake. Lots of mountain bikers.
Weather today was still cool for summer, very bright and very blue. These are still 'practicing' with my new camera.
The lake is man made, here is the view from the dam. There are lots of kangaroos and wallabies. This one is full 45mm zoomed in. I pixel peeped the tree detail for a while, not sure if its detailed enough!
Probably the actual shot of the day. But my shot of the day is always landscape shaped so my website does not break.
Hundreds of trees in this park have dead branches piled up like this. Presumably to make it easier to burn the trees down. It is still very green for this time of year. Coldest summer for over 20 years.
There are lots of paths, this is the nature trail nearest the lake, but almost no lake views. I added a graduated filter to this shot on the sky, still not purple fringing I can see.
Later in the day, sun directly above, sail boats have appeared on the lake. The whole area is very popular with mountain bikers. There are exclusive one way trails just for serious biking.
Today's thoughts...
Colors look good. Sharpness I need to pixel peep more and mess with detail vs noise reduction vs whatever other settings there are. I might do an in camera raw conversion to jpg of a couple of these photos to compare the detail in the trees on the far side of the lake.
