Fun Run
I hated the Sony ZV1 and the Canon G1x III that both attempted to replace my 2x broken Ricoh GR3's so now I bought a third Ricoh GR3... the Diary edition, which I shall refer to as the dairy edition. I am heading back to Korea with it soon and have been playing around with some new lightroom presets I made designed to over sharpen and over HDR the photo's distastefully.
Today is the 'run for the kids' which occurs once per year but seems more like 6x a year. The streets are closed, so it is good for photos.
Under the train bridge. After checking this out I modified my preset a bit, which separates the foreground from the sky, I was boosting the foreground shadows too much so have pulled them back a bit.
Quite a big crop on this one, but I like the subject separation, or appearance of 3dness or something. Micro contrast? I do not know, but it is why I think the Ricoh is a far better camera than all others I have owned.
These helicopters fly between buildings taking people on joy flights. None have hit a building yet, but they closed down for a while when one with 4 people on board hit a hill on the edge of the city and killed everyone. I hate helicopters.
The formula one grand prix is on here next week, so some merch shops have opened along the fun run route.
These cars are for a different charity, they adversise for participants near the formula one merch stands.
Melbourne now has a number of floating barge nightclubs like this one. Unfortunately the sky in this direction is a bit smoky today.
