Docklands with a Canon
2nd time out with the new Canon. Back to Docklands. Thats Docklands in Melbourne not London. It is a quiet financial district on the western edge of the main part of the city. Lots of apartment buildings and boats etc.
Very sunny, very bright, and mostly shooting into the sun.
Crossing over the tracks at Southern X station. Texture slider was up a bit in my import preset, I reset it to zero and synced to all the shots here. Sky looks good here, probably slighly less blue than reality.
The Bolte bridge from Marvel stadium. No sun stars at f/8, should have tried f/11. No lens flare from here either. This is 15mm zoom.
Probably my favourite shot from this short selection. I am not noticing any purple fringing in the trees here.
Lots of people set up tripods to take photos of these pylons at sunset, I was hours too early for that.
There are hundreds of these things all over town. I opened up the aperture for a bit of subject separation.
Back over the train track. A fence had been erected while they paint the railing, so this was the best angle I could get.
Looking back into town, you can see the fence mentioned above. Not sure about the light / white balance in this one.
Looking up for the last shot. These 2 buildings are nearly completed, you can still see the cranes at the top. I am not sure whos going to occupy them in a post COVID world.
Thoughts...
Blues look good today. Sharpness, maybe too much, dont know, I like sharp though. Into the sun performance ok, should have tried for sun stars. Terrible light for photos really.
