Otway fly treetop walk and driving back to Melbourne
Last day of short holiday, still one more activity.
Time to go to a zip lining park and walk along the metal path among the trees rather than go zip lining. Zip lining is statistically, more dangerous than COVID, punching a shark and going to Texas combined. There is no way I would ever do it.
The park is called Otway Fly Treetop Adventures. It is quite a distance from the coast.
Leave time to get there.
Despite thousands of warnings about what to wear and strict times for guided tours etc. I arrived an hour early and they let me in. Which means I had the entire place to myself. This made it much much much better than being there with other people. I nude ran up one of the gangways, scroll down for pics.
After admiring treetops, it was time to drive back to Melbourne, eat cake for lunch on the way, then fight the Easter traffic / bunny. I wont bother talking about traffic, that would be superfluous (I get one use of the word superfluous per trip, inside brackets does not count).
Todays photos will be almost entirely of ferns and fern related things. Get used to it. Here are some ferns. It is quite a long walk from the visitor centre to the start of the treetop walk, but enjoyable.
This is called the cantilever, a part of the path that suspends in mid air. You can jump up and down on the end like a trampoline. I also urinated off the end. It was glorious. Super grey photo.
Once you get off the gangway, you still go down further by these wooden steps covered in chicken wire. That was a highlight.
And (not annnnd) here is the final pic of this trip, a small brown creek. THATS ALL FOR NOW. Maybe one day foreign travel will be allowed again and I can post pics of bowls of noodles.
The end....for now....
